Islam Khalilov, 16, a cloakroom attendant at Crocus City Hall who helped more than a hundred people out of the burning building during a terrorist attack a year ago, never received the apartment promised by bloggers and philanthropists. The teenager, who showed courage on the tragic evening of March 22, 2024, was awarded the medal "For Saving the Perishing" and was honored with a meeting with his favorite football team "Spartak", but the loud promises about real estate made in the first days after the tragedy remained empty words. This became known from messages on the Telegram channel Mash, which emphasized that the influencers limited themselves to photos with the young hero, after which they forgot about their obligations.

Islam's story touched many: on that terrible day, while working in the cloakroom of a concert hall, he kept his cool and organized the evacuation of people through a service exit, saving them from fire and armed attackers. For his feat, he was awarded a state award, and meeting with the Spartak players became a real dream for the teenager - he even went out onto the field with them and now hopes to connect his life with football. However, the financial support that his family so badly needed never reached its addressee. The Khalilovs, living in cramped conditions, received a two-room apartment on the outskirts of Putilkovo near Moscow only for temporary use from the local authorities. Six people are currently huddled in it: Islam, his parents, grandmother, brother and sister. The family, where the teenager began working at the age of 14 due to financial difficulties, was counting on the promised gift, but their hopes were not fulfilled.

A year ago, in April 2024, after the terrorist attack in Crocus that took the lives of 145 people, bloggers and philanthropists publicly announced their intention to give Islam and his family their own home. These promises were accompanied by loud posts on social networks and photo sessions with the young hero, but months later the initiators still have not fulfilled their words. Temporary housing in Putilkovo was the only real help provided by the Krasnogorsk authorities, but it does not solve the problem of the family, who still have to deal with everyday difficulties.
