On the evening of May 18, 2026, Konstantin Mikhalkov, head of the Solnechnogorsk urban district, announced a drone threat within the municipality. In his address to residents, he reiterated basic safety rules in light of the increasing number of drone attacks.
"The most important thing now is to remain calm, trust only official information, and not interfere with the work of emergency services," — wrote Mikhalkov.
Earlier, on May 18, the Telegram channel "Radar Moscow" reported that approximately 60 unmanned aerial vehicles were moving from the Bryansk region towards the Moscow and Leningrad regions, and then issued an alert for jet-powered UAVs in the Moscow region.
The Solnechnogorsk urban district is located in the northwest of the Moscow region. Its territory is home to a number of important facilities, including parts of Sheremetyevo Airport and fuel and energy complex facilities.
