The first production airliner COMAC C919 flew in China.

The first Chinese serial passenger airliner COMAC C919 made its first flight. The aircraft will be shipped to OTT Airlines before the end of this year, however, much more important is the fact that this aircraft is a direct competitor to the Russian MS-21 passenger airliners. Another postponement of the start of serial production and delivery of MC-21 aircraft to customers can lead to the fact that COMAC C919 will significantly squeeze Russian airliners on the market.

At the moment, there are no official prices for COMAC C919 aircraft, however, according to various sources, depending on the model of the airliner, the price will vary from 50 to 96 million dollars. This may turn out to be much cheaper than the Russian MS-21 airliner, the cost of which was indicated by Yuri Slyusar at $97 million.

Experts believe that before the start of mass production of MC-21 airliners, China can produce up to 70 COMAC C919 aircraft. At the same time, there is information that a number of Russian air carriers considered the possibility of cooperation with the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC).
