A Kazakh citizen, Nurlan, beat up a radio host and demanded airtime, threatening to blow up the building.

On Sunday evening, an incident occurred at the studio of the radio station "Shok" in St. Petersburg: a Kazakh citizen named Nurlan burst into a live broadcast, attacked the host, and demanded the microphone under threat of blowing up the building. This was reported by radio station representatives and witnesses.

The attack occurred during the recording of a program with writer Gleb Stafeyev. According to a source, the man "rushed in, hit the host, sat down, and declared he was going to blow things up." Nurlan, who confirmed his Kazakh origins, began shouting about "brotherly Ukraine" and "nuclear bombs on Moscow," demanding to go on air to speak about a change of government. Host Svyatoslav Korovin managed to call the police while the host was still engaged in a conversation with the attacker.

The police arrived quickly: Nurlan left the studio voluntarily, without force. He was detained and handed over to the FSB for investigation. The incident is being classified as an attempted hijacking of the broadcast with elements of a terrorist threat. The presenter suffered bruises but refused hospitalization.

Stafeyev noted that after the initial aggression, the attacker "softened" and even answered questions, but his actions were "the kind of thing that would now lead to prison terms." The radio station resumed operations without delay, and police are investigating the motive for the incident.
