Law enforcement officers prevented an attempted terrorist attack directed against officials of the military-civil administration of the Zaporozhye region. According to the Russian FSB, a citizen of the Russian Federation, acting on instructions from the Ukrainian special services, participated in the preparation of the crime.

According to the investigation, the detainee had with him a homemade explosive device, as well as components for its manufacture. During the searches carried out at the suspect's place, FSB officers confiscated all the necessary materials, which made it possible to prevent a possible terrorist attack and save people's lives.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under articles of terrorism and high treason. Investigative authorities continue to clarify all the circumstances of the case, including the detainee’s connections with foreign intelligence services and possible accomplices.
