He stated this in an interview, emphasizing that the project is being discussed as a way to improve transportation links, but he believes the Georgian side is not demonstrating any readiness for implementation.

At the same time, Georgian Telegram channels indicate that Tbilisi lacks interest in this project. Local sources emphasize that Georgia fears the strengthening of Russian influence through infrastructure projects, especially given the tense relations and current geopolitical situation. The Georgian Military Highway remains the only direct land route.
