The Governor of Okinawa demanded that the United States stop flying over the island.

The recent incident with the traumatized Japanese teenager who fell out of the military helicopter with a porthole caused a stormy reaction to the Japanese public, especially since a few days before this incident, something similar had already happened, however, by a fluke, then no one was hurt.

The Pentagon has not commented on the Okinawa Governor's statement, however, if such incidents continue to repeat, the islanders will be ready to go to mass protests, including demanding the closure of American airbases in Japan.

It should be clarified that earlier the Pentagon had assured that an investigation would be conducted on the fact of the incident, however, its official results were not disclosed.
