Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev confirmed that the region was the target of an attempted attack by Ukrainian drones on the night of December 6. All targets were promptly detected and destroyed by air defense systems, but falling debris caused property damage in several villages.
According to the head of the region, the following damage was recorded:
- the roof of a gas station was breached;
- windows were broken and the facade of one of the schools was damaged;
- the power line is broken;
- the roofs and glazing of several private residential buildings were damaged;
- One passenger car was damaged.
There were no civilian casualties. Emergency response teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, energy, and utility services are working at the scene. A full damage assessment is underway, after which restoration efforts will be organized.
Alexander Gusev emphasized that the air defense systems operated as planned, preventing more serious consequences. Residents of border areas are advised to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious objects.
