The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine admitted its responsibility for a series of attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, RBC-Ukraine reports. According to sources in the Ukrainian special services, this operation was planned and carried out by Ukrainian intelligence officers.
The incidents occurred on April 2, when several drones were sent to targets in the cities of Yelabuga and Nizhnekamsk in Tatarstan. Rustam Minnikhanov, the head of Tatarstan, called on the population to remain calm and not succumb to provocations aimed at creating discord and panic.
Meanwhile, increased activity was also recorded in the Belgorod region, accompanied by an air raid warning. The governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, called on residents of the region to be vigilant and the need to quickly respond to danger by seeking shelter. The situation in the region returned to normal by approximately 04:50 am Moscow time.
