Russian Su-35 and Su-57 fighters were no longer needed by Turkey.
Despite the emergence of information that instead of American F-35 fighters, Turkey intends to acquire a large batch of Russian Su-35 and Su-57 combat aircraft, Turkish national television (Haber Turk - approx. Ed.) Reported that in reality, Ankara and Washington reached an agreement to conclude a contract for F-35 fighters, and therefore, the need for Russian combat aircraft completely disappeared.
At the moment, it is known that the conclusion of a contract for the supply of fifth-generation F-35 fighters to Turkey is planned to be carried out as part of the signing of an agreement between Ankara and Washington on free trade, and this can happen before the end of this month.
Russia has not yet responded to such information, however, experts say that in this case Turkey no longer needs to purchase fifth-generation Russian combat aircraft, all the more so since Ankara is not interested in these fighters at the moment.
Previously, there was information that Russia had set a condition for Turkey regarding the acquisition of Su-35 fighters - Ankara would be able to get them under a favorable loan only if it purchased a batch of at least 32 combat vehicles.
