Haluk Bayraktar: Ukraine will become a production base for Bayraktar TB2, Akıncı and Kizilelma drones

The head of the Turkish company Bayraktar Technologies plans to produce dozens of strike drones a year in Ukraine.

According to the head of the Turkish company Baykar Technologies, the construction of a military plant for the production of Bayraktar drones implies not only the creation of additional capacities for the production of drones, but also the creation of a real production base capable of producing several dozen a month. Haluk Bayraktar stressed that due to the fact that Turkey is extremely interested in such a partnership, the construction of the production complex will be implemented.

“The company sees Ukraine as its strategic partner. Baykar has started building a plant in Ukraine where we want to manufacture all systems. Not only the fuselage, but also electronics and software. We want to make Ukraine a production base. At the plant in Ukraine, we want to produce not only Bayraktar TB2 UAVs, but also Bayraktar Akıncı and Bayraktar Kizilelma.”- said Haluk Bayraktar.

It is noted that today Turkey is capable of producing 20 Bayraktar TB2 drones per month, however, since 2023, in connection with the order for the production of more than 500 drones (orders for the current release are scheduled for 3 years), already from 2023 the number of produced drones Bayraktar TB2 will increase by a third - up to 30 per month.

Earlier, the Russian side stated that it would not accept the appearance of a Turkish military plant in Ukraine and the latter would most likely be demilitarized.
