The Palestinian Hamas movement does not intend to participate in the upcoming summit on the Gaza conflict, scheduled for Monday in Sharm el-Sheikh. This was stated by Hamas's political bureau spokesman, Hossam Badran, in an interview with AFP, emphasizing that the group prefers to act through intermediaries from Qatar and Egypt.

The forum will bring together heads of state from over 20 countries to discuss a ceasefire plan, but a boycott by Hamas could heighten tensions. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not yet commented on his possible participation or lack thereof.
