Hamas released all women and children, fearful of Israeli threats

The deputy head of the Hamas Politburo announced the release of all women and children taken hostage during the military operation "Al-Aqsa Flood". The decision came after Israel carried out large-scale attacks on the Gaza Strip, including heavy 900-kilogram bombs, and threatened to launch military operations with full force.

According to preliminary data, the release of the hostages became possible as a result of the escalation of the conflict. Let us recall that earlier the peacekeeping mission mediated by Qatar to exchange hostages for Palestinian prisoners was terminated. Both sides accused each other of violating the terms of the truce, which led to Israel resuming hostilities in the Gaza Strip.

This move by Hamas can be seen as an attempt to force Israel to abandon further war, however, Israel itself has not yet commented on such actions.
