Hiba Press: Algeria asks Russia to help destroy Bayraktar TB2 drones

The Algerian authorities turned to Russia for help in destroying Bayraktar TB2 drones.

Against the backdrop of a likely conflict between Algeria and Morocco, it became known that the Algerian authorities turned to the Russian military for help in providing skills and means to combat Bayraktar TB2 attack unmanned aerial vehicles. The latter, according to Algeria, pose a very serious threat to the country, while Russia has quite a lot of experience in eliminating these aircraft.

“Algeria has asked Russia to form the Polisario resistance front to intercept Moroccan drones. The report states that the Algerian authorities “unofficially” offered Russia to conduct military training for dozens of members of the Polisario Front. The Maghreb Intelligence report highlights that the main purpose of this training is to allow elements of the Polisario to "learn the methods of warfare and respond to the drones used by the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces in military operations against Polisario incursions."- сообщает Moroccan edition of Hiba Press.

To date, Russia has the richest experience in the fight against Turkish attack unmanned aerial vehicles Bayraktar TB2. This, probably, was the reason for turning specifically to Moscow. At the same time, given the cooperation between the two countries, Algeria has the greatest confidence in Russian weapons.
