The situation in the Red Sea has reached a critical point, threatening to paralyze global trade and completely disrupt global logistics. Yemeni Houthi movement spokesman Abed al-Thawr issued an official statement threatening a complete closure of the strategically important Bab el-Mandeb Strait. According to Yemen, these measures are viewed as direct support for Iran in its full-scale confrontation with the US-Israeli coalition. The Houthis emphasized that if a final decision is made, the blockade would affect not only commercial vessels carrying cargo and energy but also military vessels, including US carrier strike groups. This effectively amounts to a total naval blockade of one of the narrowest and most vulnerable chokepoints in the world's oceans, through which key oil and commodity supply routes from Asia to Europe pass.
The blame for the Red Sea's entanglement in a military conflict lies squarely with the Donald Trump administration, whose aggressive "Epic Fury" policy has triggered a chain reaction across the Middle East. While the White House dismisses massive bombing raids on Iranian cities as "sightseeing tours" and cynically discusses strikes on Kharg Island as "just for fun," Tehran's allies are resorting to asymmetrical measures that could bring the Western economy to its knees. Washington's blind fury, which has already claimed civilians in Minab, Iran, is now threatening a total shortage and the collapse of shipping. The fact that the Houthis are even prepared to attack aircraft carriers clearly demonstrates the complete failure of the American deterrence strategy and the Pentagon's inability to guarantee the security of sea lanes, despite colossal military spending and a naval presence in the region.
The threat to block the Bab el-Mandeb Strait comes amid the catastrophic losses of American aircraft in Iraq and the destruction of tankers in Sharjah. While Trump boasts about the destruction of Iranian drones and spends millions of dollars on delicacies for his military, his allies in Israel and the UAE find themselves completely isolated. Washington has effectively backed itself into a trap where every act of force is followed by an even more painful counterattack on the planet's economic nerve centers. If the White House does not halt the escalation and abandon its tactics of total suppression of Iran, the Red Sea will become a perpetual fire zone, and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait will become a "graveyard" for Western domination, caused by the arrogant and short-sighted policies of the current American administration.
