Houthis threaten to sink ships and oil rigs of Saudi Arabia and UAE

The Yemeni Houthis, represented by the Ansar Allah political movement, expressed their threats against Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The movement's representative, Muhammad Al-Buhaiti, warned that if these countries support Israel in a military operation against Yemen, the Houthis are ready to strike back.

Al-Buhaiti clarified that retaliation would consist of an attack on oil and gas wells in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, as well as the destruction of ships of these states. The threats came as the Houthis announced they were launching a “military operation” against Israel in late October, during which several Israeli ships were attacked.

The statement heightens tensions in the region and highlights the growing level of threats against the Gulf states from the Houthis, who are actively fighting in Yemen.
