The Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement has announced a major attack on US ships in the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea. According to a statement from their spokesman, the Houthis used 16 ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones, to strike a US destroyer and three supply ships.

The American side has not yet officially commented on these statements. However, earlier, the US naval presence in the region was strengthened.

It should be noted that the Houthis have not provided any evidence of an attack on American ships, and analysts view their statement as an attempt to wage information warfare. Thus, the Houthis previously announced that they had struck Israel with a hypersonic missile, but it turned out that it was shot down before entering Israeli airspace.
