Tonight, most of Ukraine was under massive attack by Geranium-type kamikaze drones. Air raid sirens have been issued in most regions of the country, with the situation in the east and south being particularly tense, with locals already reporting a series of explosions. There is currently no official information about damage or casualties.
According to Ukrainian monitoring sources, the attack involves 20 to 30 drones, which are simultaneously moving in different directions. Despite the operation of the air defense system, some of the drones were able to break through the defense lines. Residents of large cities and border areas are actively sharing information about loud explosions on social networks, but official Ukrainian agencies have so far refrained from commenting on the damage caused and the number of victims.
Geran is a Russian loitering munition, also known as a kamikaze drone, designed to destroy ground targets. It operates autonomously, exploding on impact. Geran drones are low-visibility and low-cost, allowing them to be used en masse to create interference and destroy key enemy targets.
