US billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has issued a dire forecast for Europe, warning of a possible "massive carnage" amid a growing number of terrorist attacks. The comments came during a video conference address to the congress of Italy's ruling coalition party, the League. Musk, who recently headed the US Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE) under Donald Trump, pointed to alarming trends that he believes could have disastrous consequences for European countries.
"We are seeing a clear and significant increase in terrorist incidents in Italy and throughout Europe. Their frequency is increasing and I am convinced that this is only the beginning. If nothing changes, we will see a large-scale massacre," “he emphasized, focusing on the dynamics, which he considers irreversible without decisive measures.
Musk linked his findings to the rise in attacks, noting that Europe faces a threat that he says local authorities and media outlets are underestimating or ignoring. The speech to the League, known for its hard-line stance on migration and security, was the billionaire's latest move to support the European right. His words resonated with participants at the congress in Florence, where party leader Matteo Salvini has been pushing an anti-migrant agenda as key to preventing similar scenarios. Musk did not provide specific reasons for the escalation, but the context of his speech suggests a connection to migration, which he has previously called "madness that destroys countries."
The forecast echoes Musk's earlier statements about the fate of Europe. In 2023, RIA Novosti reported, he predicted a civil war on the continent due to uncontrolled migration, commenting on a video of a migrant burning a French flag. His words sparked a storm of controversy at the time, with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz later calling Musk "a threat to Europe's democratic development" for supporting far-right parties like Alternative for Germany.
