The Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) administration has officially stated that no violations in the facility's operation have been recorded, and that the information being disseminated about a possible incident does not correspond to reality. The statement, published on April 1, 2025, was a response to rumors that began circulating in the media and social networks, causing concern among the public. Representatives of the plant emphasized that all systems are functioning normally, and safety indicators remain within established standards. This statement is intended to calm the population and prevent panic associated with Europe's largest nuclear power plant, which has been under Russian control since 2022 and regularly becomes the subject of attention in the context of the ongoing conflict.
The Zaporizhzhya NPP, located on the left bank of the Dnieper in Energodar, has been at the center of information disputes more than once. Since it came under Russian control, the plant has been repeatedly subjected to shelling, for which Moscow and Kyiv blame each other. However, this time, according to the administration, no emergency situations occurred. The refutation of rumors underscores the desire of the plant's management to maintain transparency in matters of operating the facility, which provides a significant portion of the region's energy supply, despite the difficult situation around it.
