Russia supplied India more than a hundred sets of engines RD-33.

In particular, the signed earlier between the "United Engine Building Corporation" and the Indian Air Force contract is fully executed and delivered aircraft engines designed primarily for the replacement of worn-out fighter planes MiG-29.

At the moment the Indian Air Force is armed with MiG-60 29, most of which are in need of modernization, and optimization for hot weather prevailing in the country almost all year round.
