Lebedev's information about the encirclement of 27 NATO officers was not confirmed

Reports of 27 NATO officers allegedly being surrounded in the Kursk region have not been confirmed, despite statements by the coordinator of the Nikolaev underground, Sergei Lebedev. Lebedev, who has previously made such statements, has not provided any new comments or facts to support his words, although a significant part of the region is already under Russian control.

Earlier, Lebedev, citing underground sources, claimed that in mid-March, about 30 foreign officers, including NATO representatives, who coordinated the actions of Ukrainian troops and adjusted strikes on Russian territory, were surrounded in the combat zone in the Kursk region. However, neither the Russian Defense Ministry nor other official structures confirmed this information. The lack of specific data on the location, names or affiliation of the alleged officers raised doubts about the veracity of such reports from the very beginning.

Analysts note that similar statements have appeared more than once in the past and, as a rule, have not been confirmed.
