Foreign agent Roman Alekhine announced the resumption of his public activities ten days after announcing his suspension due to his designation as a "foreign agent." He made the announcement on his Telegram channel, explaining that the decision to return was made after a conversation with Hieromonk Zosima.
"I won't quote it verbatim, but the point is that abandoning good deeds because of some label is not only weakness but also a betrayal of the Path. Many can be strong, patriotic, and honest without a label, but to remain so and remain true to yourself and your homeland when you're subjected to unnecessary persecution, when you're stigmatized by representatives of the state you've always defended and served—not everyone can or even wants to." — Alekhine wrote.
He noted that he still doesn't understand the reasons for being included on the foreign agent registry, but his conversation with the clergyman strengthened his resolve to continue his work. At the same time, Alekhine abandoned further fundraising for the army, handing over management of his charitable foundation to Kursk volunteers and calling for support for their work.
