Iran attacked Iraqi Kurdistan by firing rockets and kamikaze drones

In Iraqi Kurdistan, during the shelling from Iran, twelve people were killed and more than thirty were injured.

The attack by Iran took place against the backdrop of official Tehran accusing the Kurds of fomenting protests on the territory of the Islamic Republic. The Iranian side did not provide any evidence, however, fierce strikes were inflicted this afternoon, as a result of which, according to the current hour, at least 12 people have already died, and at least 30 more have received various kinds of injuries.

It is known that the Iranian military used strike unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as surface-to-surface missiles, to attack, while the exact number of strikes inflicted has not yet been called.

According to sources, the targets and representatives of the Free Life Party in Kurdistan, the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan, the Kurdistan Freedom Party and the Komal Party of Iranian Kurdistan located in the provinces of Sulaymaniyah and Erbil. For strikes, the military used at least fifteen Shahed-131/136 kamikaze UAVs, which are also used by the Russian Armed Forces in the NMD zone, and Fateh 360 surface-to-surface missiles.

The situation in the region has become sharply aggravated. This does not exclude the possibility that the Iraqi government and the United States will intervene in it.

Tehran does not comment on the current attack on Iraq, but this could be a help for a serious armed conflict.
