Iran has categorically denied the allegations of ballistic missile deliveries to Russia, saying its position on the conflict in Ukraine remains unchanged. Iran's mission to the UN issued a statement stressing that the country does not provide military assistance to either side in the conflict, as it believes that this only exacerbates the crisis, increases the number of casualties and destroys infrastructure.
Tehran expressed concern that the spread of such rumors could increase tensions in the international arena and complicate the process of resolving the conflict. Iran, as stated in the statement, maintains the position that the supply of weapons or military support only delays the possibility of peace talks and reaching a diplomatic solution.
Iran's mission to the UN also stressed that the country consistently advocates a ceasefire and the earliest possible start of the negotiation process.
