Iran will receive Su-35 fighters next week

Iran's air power is set to strengthen significantly after receiving the first batch of Russian Su-35 fighter jets as early as next week, reports NZIV. The move could significantly boost Tehran's defense capabilities amid rising tensions with Israel.

The first of twenty-four Su-35 fighter jets on order is due to arrive in Iran soon, according to Iranian state news agency SNN. These aircraft are modern generation 4++ aircraft, which is a significant upgrade for the Iranian Air Force, which previously used outdated models such as the MiG-29 and the American F-5, F-4 Phantom and F-14 Tomcat purchased before the Islamic Revolution 1979.

The delivery of the Su-35 corresponds to deepening military cooperation between Moscow and Tehran, which has recently included Iranian support for Russia.

This deal is said to help Iran strengthen its position in the region, given the current geopolitical challenges and threats. It is expected that the new fighters will allow Iran to more effectively control its airspace and increase the country's defensive capabilities.
