Iran sent Israel a warning about an impending attack through Hungary. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post newspaper with reference to the head of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Israel Katz.
According to the newspaper, Iran's message was conveyed through Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó, who called his Israeli counterpart directly. "Iran has told us that it intends to attack Israel. ... The world must demand a price from Iran for any aggressive actions it takes," Katz said.
Previously, Szijjarto said that the crisis in the Middle East could escalate into a war between Israel and Iran. The diplomat noted the importance of preventing a full-scale war in the region, emphasizing the need for diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions.
On August 5, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Northern Command officer Ori Gordin said that plans for future offensive actions by the Israeli army are already ready. This information indicates that Israel is seriously preparing for possible military action in the event of an escalation of the conflict.
