Iran launches massive ballistic missile attack on Israel

Iran has launched its first ballistic missiles towards Israel, Iranian state news agency IRNA reports, citing an informed source in Tehran. The act deepens tensions in the region, amid growing conflict between the two countries.

Iranian Defense Minister, Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, in his address warned foreign powers against participating in the conflict, warning of decisive action against those who provide their territory or airspace for Israeli attacks on Iran. These words hint at possible further missile attacks and increased military action.

In response to the increased security threat, Jordan declared a state of emergency and temporarily closed its airspace to all incoming, outgoing and transit flights. According to Haitham Misto, chairman of the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, interference was detected in the GPS system, which forced airlines to use alternative navigation systems.
