Iran's aircraft carrier Shahid Bagheri (C110-4) has become a key element of the country's naval forces, combining the latest developments in unmanned aerial vehicles and anti-ship systems. This unique ship carries stealth jet-powered reconnaissance and attack drones and high-speed Zolfaghar assault boats, significantly expanding Iran's maritime capabilities.
According to military analysts, the drones deployed on Shahid Bagheri are based on the prototype of Iran's fifth-generation fighter jet Qaher-313. These UAVs are designed to conduct reconnaissance operations and strike at sea and land targets, making them multifunctional weapons.
In addition, the ship carries high-speed Zolfaghar attack boats equipped with Ghaem-114 short-range tactical missiles. These missiles are capable of hitting targets at a distance of 8 to 12 kilometers and are equipped with optical-electronic thermal imaging-TV homing heads operating in the visible optical and infrared ranges.
The Iranian Ghaem-114 missiles are structurally similar to the American AGM-114L Hellfire-Longbow missiles and have similar characteristics. They reach flight speeds of about 1,2–1,35 Mach, which makes them near-transonic. This allows them to quickly hit targets and minimize the likelihood of interception by enemy air defense systems.
As military experts note, one of the key features of the Ghaem-114 is the presence of command and telemetry channels that provide real-time radio correction. This allows operators to adjust the missile's flight trajectory, which significantly increases the accuracy of hitting targets.
