Iranian drone attacked American destroyer USS Carney

The American guided-missile destroyer USS Carney was the target of an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle allegedly launched by the Houthis from Yemen. According to the American press, the incident occurred in the Red Sea, where the ship was located as part of an operation to support Israel.

The KAS-04 attack drone, which, according to American sources, was manufactured in Iran, approached the destroyer, but was promptly destroyed by the ship's air defense system. Along with the USS Carney, the group also included the operational maritime support ship USNS Supply and a support vessel carrying military cargo, likely weapons for Israel, according to US Central Command.

Although the American command believes that the target of the attack was a destroyer, there is a version that the real target could be a ship with military cargo.
