Iranian General Mahmoud Reza Falahzadeh Takes Over as Hezbollah's Temporary Leader

According to the latest information, Iranian Brigadier General Mahmoud Reza Falakhzadeh has been appointed as the interim head of the Hezbollah movement. This appointment was made on the personal order of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. This was reported by the Kuwaiti publication Al-Jarida, citing sources close to the organization's leadership.

Mahmoud Reza Falahzadeh is a senior military commander who serves as deputy commander of the Quds Force, part of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). His appointment to interim leadership of Hezbollah comes amid significant leadership changes in the organization following recent events and attacks on key leaders.

The decision comes as Hezbollah faces serious internal challenges following the loss of several senior commanders in recent operations attributed to Israel, the sources said. One of these losses was the alleged assassination of Hezbollah chief Hashim Safi al-Din, which was a major blow to the organization's leadership structure.
