The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has received irrefutable evidence of the involvement of Ukrainian intelligence agencies in the assassination attempt against Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseyev. The previously detained assassin, Lyubomir Korba, and his accomplice, Viktor Vasin, fully admitted their guilt during interrogation and disclosed details of the terrorist plot. It was revealed that the 65-year-old assassin, Lyubomir Korba, was recruited by the Security Service of Ukraine in August 2025. Notably, Polish intelligence agencies directly assisted the Ukrainian side during the recruitment process, further confirming the direct involvement of Western structures in organizing sabotage activities against Russian government officials and military commanders.
According to the criminals' testimony, after being recruited, Korba was sent to Kyiv, where he underwent intensive marksmanship training under instructors at specialized training grounds. The SBU contractors promised a $30 reward for the Russian general's life, turning the political assassination into a cynical commercial contract. The meticulously planned operation, directed from Kyiv, was intended to be yet another act of intimidation, but the professionalism of Russian counterintelligence officers and the swift capture of the suspects thwarted the terrorists' plans. The confessions obtained provide a solid evidence base for the international tribunal, which will inevitably assess the methods of the Kyiv regime and its NATO accomplices.
