The newest Russian fifth-generation fighter will be armed with the Zircon miniature hypersonic missile.

Against the background of the emergence of information that a new hypersonic missile is being developed for the domestic fifth generation Su-57 fighter, it became known that the hypersonic munition, which received the name "Larva", could be a miniature version of the Russian hypersonic anti-ship missile "Zircon", the tests of which are currently being completed by Russian specialists.

As it was found out, the new Larchinka hypersonic rocket will receive a ramjet hypersonic engine under the name Product 70, and although the missile's flight range will be limited (it is assumed that it will be about 150-200 kilometers - editor's note), the rocket will be able to reach speeds up to 10 MAX, ie .. When launched from a maximum distance, the missile will be able to hit its target in less than a minute.

Sources report that in the coming years the Larchinka hypersonic anti-ship missile will replace the Kh-31 supersonic anti-ship missile. Thanks to this, it will be possible to use these missiles with a large number of combat aircraft.

According to a number of data, in the future, the “Lichinka” missile can also be equipped with the “Okhotnik” heavy attack drone, which will significantly increase the potential of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Russian army as a whole.
