Israel continues to actively prepare for a possible strike on Iran, but Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states prefer to distance themselves from the conflict, a source in the Saudi royal family told Israel's Channel 12.
Saudi Arabia, like other states in the region, is seeking to focus on defending its territories and avoiding involvement in military action.
"We informed Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi that the Gulf countries will not allow their airspace to be used to harm Iran, just as we will not allow Iran to use our airspace to attack Israel," - stressed the source.
Earlier, during a visit to the Middle East, Iranian Minister Abbas Araghchi held talks with representatives of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan, discussing strengthening relations and joint efforts to end conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon. Iran continues to seek rapprochement with its neighbors and strengthen regional security.
Meanwhile, Tehran is also wasting no time in preparing for a response to a possible attack from Israel. According to the Tasnim agency, which is linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the Iranian army has already developed at least ten options for responding to Israeli aggression. It is noted that any attack on Iran could lead to a tough response with a wide range of targets. Tehran emphasizes that any country that provides assistance to Israel will be considered as having crossed a “red line” and will suffer corresponding damage.
