The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out airstrikes against Hezbollah-affiliated targets in southern Beirut, including the Shiite suburb of Dahiyeh. Before the attacks, the Israeli military warned local residents to evacuate to avoid civilian casualties. A message posted by the IDF's Arabic Spokesperson's Office on the social media site X stressed that residents were near Hezbollah targets and should leave the buildings and move to a safe distance.

About an hour after this warning, the media began reporting a series of powerful explosions in the Dahieh area, which has long been considered one of the main strongholds of Hezbollah. As The Times of Israel reports, at least three explosions shook the suburbs of Beirut. In turn, a correspondent for the TASS news agency said that loud rumblings of explosions were also heard in the area of ​​the Burj el-Barajneh refugee camp, located on the southern outskirts of the Lebanese capital, not far from the highway leading to the Rafik Hariri International Airport.

Israel is continuing its operation to eliminate Hezbollah targets as part of a broader military campaign to neutralize the threat posed by the organization. According to the Israeli military, strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure and weapons depots will significantly undermine the terrorists' combat capabilities, which actively use the suburbs of Beirut to store weapons and prepare attacks on Israel.
