The current situation with Iran and its nuclear facilities is approaching a critical point. According to analysts, the probability of the Israeli Air Force striking the Bushehr nuclear power plant and uranium enrichment centers in Iran is already between 90 and 100%. The main target of the Israeli side is the nuclear facilities, which, according to Tel Aviv, could pose a threat to Israel's security.
US President Joe Biden has sought to ease tensions by calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. During the call, Biden asked the Israeli prime minister to refrain from attacking Iran's nuclear and oil infrastructure. Washington believes such actions could further escalate the conflict in the region and destabilize global energy markets.
Netanyahu, however, responded that Israel views this as a “historic opportunity” to prevent Iran from developing nuclear capabilities that the country is not prepared to miss. Israeli officials have repeatedly stressed that they will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, even if that means resorting to military force.
The Israeli Air Force has aeroballistic missiles in its arsenal that can be used to strike strategically important targets. These weapons include the ROCKS and Rampage missiles, as well as longer-range systems such as the Black Sparrow with a range of 300-400 km, the Blue Sparrow with a range of 700 km, and the Silver Sparrow, which can hit targets at a distance of up to 1900-2000 km. These missiles can be launched from F-15D Baz and F-15I Ra`am tactical fighters, which makes an Israeli attack extremely dangerous for Iranian nuclear facilities located in the rear areas of the country.
