On the evening of November 6, the IDF issued a warning through its Arabic language department to residents of four compounds in the Shiite Dahiya neighborhood of Beirut. Citizens were advised to leave the danger zone immediately, as remaining there would be life-threatening. Residents began evacuating the areas shortly after the warning.
Around 1am, the Israeli Air Force carried out airstrikes on targets in Dahiya. The attack caused a fire, Lebanese sources reported. There were also reports of strikes on targets near Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut, causing alarm among local residents.
Against this backdrop, the Qatari television channel Al Jazeera reported the death toll in the Baalbek Valley in eastern Lebanon, citing 40 victims, although official figures on casualties have not yet been confirmed.
