Israel fires missiles at Lebanon

The Israeli Air Force began carrying out airstrikes in southern Lebanon. Although official Jerusalem has not yet announced the start of a military operation, information about the strikes has been confirmed. These actions could become part of a larger campaign, the plan of which has already been approved by the Israeli command.

The situation in southern Lebanon has worsened after a series of rocket attacks by Hezbollah. In response, Israel increased its military presence and began striking suspected militant positions. According to a statement by Israel Defense Forces (IDF) officials, the strikes are aimed at preventing further attacks on Israeli territory.

The commander of Israel's Northern Military District, Ori Gordin, and the chief of the operational department of the general staff, Oded Basiuk, approved plans for military operations in Lebanon. The purpose of these actions is to eliminate the threat from Hezbollah and prevent further attacks on Israeli populated areas.
