Israel trains Ukrainian military to work with a missile attack warning system

During a press conference in Vienna, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen confirmed the cooperation of the military Armed Forces of Ukraine and Israel on the territory of Poland. The object of attention of the military of both countries was the Israeli early warning system for missile attacks, which is planned to be introduced in Ukraine.

"At the moment, the Israeli and Ukrainian military in Poland are working closely to implement our warning system. This will help save the lives of civilians in Ukraine"Cohen emphasized. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel became the first in his status to visit Kyiv after the outbreak of the military conflict in February 2022.

Earlier, Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk said that the Red Color warning system (Tzeva Adom) would first be tested in Kyiv. In case of successful results, the system is planned to be introduced in the regions of Ukraine. According to the ambassador, the Red Color system will be specially adapted to the conditions of Ukraine.

It is planned that the civil warning system will be connected to the radar system of Ukraine. This will make it possible to more quickly provide information to mobile phone owners and turn on air raid sirens in areas where there is a real threat of rocket fire.

The Israeli warning system "Red Color" (Tzeva Adom) is capable of detecting missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. It tracks their trajectory with radars aimed at areas where shelling is usually carried out.

However, the rocket attacks of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which were carried out between May 30 and June 2, showed that the Israeli civilian warning system does not yet function at a sufficient level and does not meet the stated goals.
