On June 14, 2025, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) continues to carry out intensive strikes against Iranian military targets as part of Operation Lion Rising, which began on the night of June 13. The IDF claims to have destroyed dozens of launchers, including mobile platforms for Fatah-1 missiles, as well as radars and air defense systems. Videos published by the Ynet website show pinpoint strikes on military targets, including moments of explosions at bases in western Iran. Israeli security sources cited by Newsru.co.il say the operation used covert UAVs for preliminary reconnaissance and attacks on missile sites.

Iran responded with Operation True Promise 3, firing 150-200 ballistic missiles at Israel. According to The Jerusalem Post, the attacks killed four people, injured 91, and caused destruction in Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan, including damage to the Kiryat military headquarters. Most of the missiles were intercepted by Israeli air defenses and American Patriot and THAAD systems. Iranian media, including Tasnim, claimed that air bases housing F-35 fighter jets had been hit, but the IDF denied significant damage. Iran’s UN Ambassador Amir Saeed Iravani said 78 people were killed in the Israeli strikes, including IRGC commander Hossein Salami, and 329 were wounded, calling Israel’s actions a “declaration of war.”
