Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike on a school in the Gaza Strip, killing about 100 people. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the strike targeted a Hamas command post set up in a school building that also housed civilians.

According to the IDF, Hamas operatives used the Al-Tabain school, located in the Daraj area, to prepare terrorist operations against Israeli forces and citizens. In a statement, the Israeli army emphasized that warning attacks were carried out before the strike, designed to minimize civilian casualties.
