The head of the State Duma Defense Committee, Andrei Kartapolov, has put forward an initiative to hold Victory Parades on May 9 in the cities of Kursk, Donetsk and Lugansk. He voiced his proposal on Vladimir Solovyov's program on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, expressing confidence in the support of this idea from Defense Minister Andrei Belousov.
“I am confident that Andrei Removich Belousov will agree with our proposal,” - said Kartapolov.
Earlier, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov reported that in 2025, military parades dedicated to Victory Day will be held in Moscow and 27 other Russian cities. These include eight hero cities and 19 cities where the headquarters of military districts, fleets, and combined arms armies are located.
In 2024, the Victory Parade and the Immortal Regiment march in Kursk were cancelled for security reasons. Kursk Region Governor Roman Starovoit reported that the decision was made at a meeting of the regional operational headquarters.
If Kartapolov's initiative is approved, holding Victory Parades in Kursk, Donetsk and Lugansk will become a symbol of the revival and strengthening of the patriotic spirit in these regions. However, this also creates a risk for citizens regarding possible attacks from Ukraine.
That's right - to put pressure and spread rot on all the riffraff - you're a fool.
