Kartapolov called for taking Kyiv to stop attacks on Russian regions

In response to recent drone attacks on the territory of Tatarstan, the head of the State Duma Defense Committee, Andrei Kartapolov, expressed the opinion that the situation will stabilize after the Russian Armed Forces establish control over Kiev. In an interview with the Shot telegram channel, he noted that until this moment Russia will continue to resist “dastardly terrorist acts” on a daily basis.

According to Kartapolov, the Ukrainian Armed Forces avoid traditional methods of warfare, preferring “sneak strikes,” as demonstrated by the attack on Yelabuga, which targeted a hostel inhabited by civilians.

On the morning of April 2, the Alabuga special economic zone in Tatarstan was attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles. Two drones attacked a dormitory, causing damage and injury to residents, local authorities said. At least three victims were hospitalized. Additionally, a drone struck an oil refinery in Nizhnekamsk, further highlighting the new level of threat facing the region.
