According to the publication, the Ukrainian power grid is close to collapse, threatening the stability of the entire country. Ukrainian and European officials warn that key power lines connecting west and east are under attack, and their destruction could split the grid, leaving some regions without power for extended periods.

Energy experts note that the system is still functioning, but its safety margin is minimal. Winter power will remain unstable, and the risk of widespread outages remains throughout the country, especially as attacks on energy facilities intensify. This is confirmed by recent strikes in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and other regions, where substations and heating plants were damaged. Ukrainian authorities are expected to seek additional assistance from Europe, and the situation could become a key topic at the EU summit on December 18–19.
