Cyprus has allowed the Russian military planes to land on its airfields.

As it became known from the official statements of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, the Russian military aircraft taking part in the fighting in Syria against the group "Islamic State" may, in the event of such a necessity, to carry out landing at the airfield of the country. Among other things, permission to land also applies to other Russian aircraft, including carrying humanitarian cargo transportation to the territory of Syria.

Information and news agency Avia.pro notes the fact that a few weeks ago, there is evidence that the government of Cyprus intends to invite Russia to arrange for the island a military base to host here means the Air Force, however, a formal decision on the matter has not been reported .
