Storekeeper "M.Video" stole iPhones at work for ₽2 million to cover loans for skins in CS:GO

In Moscow, a scandal erupted around the storekeeper of the well-known network of electronics stores M.Video, who stole nine iPhones and a MacBook worth more than 2 million rubles. According to law enforcement agencies, 19-year-old Kirill from Serpukhov, near Moscow, was trying to pay off his debts on microloans taken to buy skins in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive game.

Kirill is a fan of online shooters and worked at the M.Video warehouse to have access to the latest gadgets and enjoy the game. However, it seems that his passion for the game turned into an addiction that forced him to commit a crime.

According to the data, Kirill took iPhones and a MacBook from one of the company's warehouses to sell them on the black market. Fortunately, the police noticed the suspicious behavior of the guy and spotted him on CCTV cameras. Cyril was forced to return the stolen to its place.

However, not calming down and in an attempt to pay off his debts, Kirill committed the theft again, this time in the amount of two million rubles. He was detained by the police and is currently under investigation.

The incident sparked a wave of outrage among social media users, who accuse the gaming industry of attracting young people to gambling and addictions. At the same time, representatives of M.Video stated that they are taking measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
