The Hwasong-20 intercontinental ballistic missile was unveiled at a military parade in North Korea's capital. According to the authorities, it can strike any target within the United States. Experts emphasize that the system still requires improvements in terms of guidance accuracy and warhead protection from atmospheric reentry.

"The Hwasong-20 currently represents the pinnacle of North Korea's ambitions for long-range nuclear weapons delivery systems. We expect the system to be tested before the end of this year." — Ankit Panda commented to Reuters.

According to him, the missile is likely capable of carrying multiple warheads:

"Multiple warheads would increase the burden on existing US missile defense systems and enhance what Kim believes is necessary to achieve a meaningful deterrent effect against Washington."

The parade also showcased hypersonic ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, a new multiple launch rocket system, and a launcher for kamikaze drones, said North Korea analyst Hong Min of the Korea Institute for National Unification.
