Kots: The Armed Forces of Ukraine began to use heavy kamikaze drones

Military correspondent Alexander Kots in his Telegram channel reported a significant strengthening of the Ukrainian armed forces due to the receipt of heavy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) capable of covering a distance of 1200 kilometers or more. This fact is illustrated by today’s attacks on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, where drone strikes of unknown origin were recorded.

Kots notes that the drones used for the attack resemble Ukrainian light aircraft of the A-22 type manufactured by Aeropact, equipped with additional tanks to increase their flight range. This tactic of using drones is reminiscent of Azerbaijan’s actions during the conflict in Karabakh in 2020, when Armenian air defense shot down several such devices.

According to the report, one of the UAVs was deployed to attack the oil refinery at the time? how the other directed its attack on the objects of the special economic zone “Alabuga”. These events indicate a significant increase in the threat to the security of Russian regions due to the appearance of drones with advanced capabilities in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Kotz emphasizes the need to take steps to strengthen air defenses and develop strategies to neutralize such threats.
