The number of victims of a Ukrainian drone attack in Yelabuga has increased to 6 people

In the early morning of April 2, a dormitory in the Alabuga special economic zone, located near the city of Elabuga in Tatarstan, was attacked by two drones. As a result of the incident, six people were injured, which was a serious blow to the security of the area, previously considered one of the key industrial and economic centers of the region. Information about the casualties has been updated; previously two casualties were reported.

According to the press service of the special economic zone "Alabuga", the attack occurred at 5:45 Moscow time. This incident is part of a wider drone attack that also affected enterprises in Yelabuga and Nizhnekamsk, as Tatarstan head Rustam Minnikhanov indicated in a message.

The authorities clarify that, despite the fact of the attack, serious destruction was avoided and the work of enterprises in the special economic zone was not disrupted. Specialists have already begun to eliminate the consequences of the attack and provide all necessary assistance to the victims.

"Alabuga" attracts attention as an important economic hub, where the production of leading domestic and international companies is concentrated.
