In the Sumy region of Ukraine, a clash took place between Colombian mercenaries fighting on the side of the Kyiv regime and servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as a result of which both sides suffered significant losses. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Other Ukraine" with reference to Russian intelligence data.

The incident occurred near the village of Pisarevka in the Sumy direction. According to the source, Colombian mercenaries were the first to open fire on the positions of the 81st Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, mistakenly taking the Ukrainian military for Russian troops. The mistake occurred because the Ukrainian Armed Forces unit unexpectedly appeared from the rear, carrying out the task of equipping new positions in the forest.

In response to the Colombian attack, Ukrainian servicemen opened fire, which led to a bloody battle that lasted for about two days. Only after this time did both sides realize that they were engaging in “friendly fire.” By the time the clashes ceased, Colombian mercenaries and Ukrainian soldiers had suffered significant losses, but the exact number of dead and wounded is not specified.

The incident highlights the challenges of coordination between the various groups operating on the Ukrainian side, especially in a complex operational environment.
